Elastic fields in aluminum single crystals are studied using the laser inte
rferometry technique. The and [111] axes and also for small deviations from
the [111] axis. The energy distribution is measured in the [001] transitio
n region between the near and far fields. The energy of transverse elastic
waves in the case of the propagation along the [111]-axis is distributed wi
thin a sector. The deviation of the propagation direction from this axis le
ads to radical changes in the energy distribution. (C) 2001 MAIK "Nauka/Int
