The polarizability of the molecule is an important property to account
for molecular interactions. Different polarizability indices have bee
n proposed all based on the knowledge of the refraction index. This pr
operty is not always easily obtained at room temperature in the liquid
state. In the present study, a topological method (i.e., only based o
n structure) is proposed, validated by a great number of experimental
data. Also the molar volume at the boiling point has been estimated in
a topological way.
