Organic reactions without organic solvents and oils and fats as renewable raw materials for the chemical industry

The use of organic solvents should be minimized as far as possible to reduc e atmospheric volatile organic compounds (VOCs). Examples of solvent-free o rganic syntheses are described. The increasing usage of renewable feedstock s taking advantage of the synthetic potential of nature is another way to a void organic solvents.
