Abstract
We describe our experiences in the development of a complementary and alter native medicine familiarization special study module for a multidisciplinar y group of students, involving medical students, nurses and chiropractors. Our observations suggest that the model we have developed is an effective, interesting and exciting experience for both students and teachers. We have defined, by consensus between students and teachers, a series of clear edu cational objectives. The course is now established, having run for 4 academ ic years, but we are concerned about its sustainability, particularly in re lation to ongoing funding. (C) 2000 Harcourt Publishers Ltd.
