Abstract
The generation, recognition and subsequent recoding of ac:hip. 160Gchip/s b ipolar optical codes using superstructured fibre Bragg gratings is demonstr ated. The results represent an eightfold increase in code length relative t o previous demonstrations, and the first demonstration of recoding using su ch technology.
