Abstract
The first generation of the benzotriazol-1-ylmethyl radical (3) is reported from S-(1H-1,2,3-benzotriazol-1-ylmethyl)-O-ethylcarbonodithioate (1). Sub sequent additions of radical (3) to a variety of olefins are demonstrated.
