T. Hori et al., Electronically controlled high-speed wavelength-tunable femtosecond soliton pulse generation using acoustooptic modulator, IEEE PHOTON, 13(1), 2001, pp. 13-15
The compact system of electronically controlled highspeed wavelength-tunabl
e femtosecond (fs) soliton pulse generation is realized for the first time
using a passively mode-locked fs fiber laser, a polarization maintaining op
tical fiber, and an acoustooptic (A-O) modulator. The wavelength of the out
put pulses can be continuously tuned simply by controlling the input voltag
e into the A-O modulator. The wavelength of the soliton pulses can be chang
ed at 2.5-mus intervals. Wavelength stabilization, time division wavelength
multiplexed soliton pulse generation, and wavelength scanner have been dem
onstrated.
