Abstract
The pattern recognition algorithm for the PHENIX PbSc electromagnetic calor imeters are presented. The algorithm is based upon energy and impact angle dependent description of the electromagnetic shower shape as measured in th e test beam and reproduced in GEANT simulation. The efficiency of the patte rn recognition for identification of single and multiple showers is studied and discussed.
