Abstract
We examine the features of degenerate four-wave-mixing (DFWM) spectra of semiconductor microcavities in the weak and intermediate coupling r egime. By tuning the exciton energy utilizing quantum-confined Stark e ffect, the exciton-microcavity detuning is systematically controlled. In intermediate coupling regime, the enhancement of nonlinear signal d oes not coincide with the normal mode resonances observed in linear re flection spectrum. With these results, the criteria for strong couplin g regime are discussed.
