Abstract
The reaction of NiCl2. 6H(2)O with potentially bidentate N,S donor pyrazole -1-carbodithioate ligands produces four-coordinated diamagnetic (NiN2S2)-N- II complexes quantitatively. In solution Ni(L-1)(2) (L-1 = 3,5-dimethylpyra zole-1-carbodithioate) transforms to dimeric bis(3,5-dimethylpyrazole-1-car bodithioato) bis(mu -3,5-dimethylpyrazolato)dinickel(II), [Ni-2(mu -3,5-Me( 2)Pz)(2)(L-1)(2)] (1).
