Abstract
Mechanisms of photodarkening effects have been investigated in CdS-dop ed glasses using time-resolved luminescence and electron spin resonanc e (ESR). Correlation between the ESR signal and the photodarkening eff ects was observed. Photoinduced centers responsible for the photodarke ning are considered to be created in the interface between CdS nanocry stals and glass matrix.
