Abstract
The weighted density of states of low-frequency. vibrational modes has been determined in 1-propanol doped with chlorophyll b by means of si te-selective fluorescence spectroscopy. The resonance fluorescence spe ctra calculated have been found not to reproduce the measured ones eve n below the glass transition temperature of the solvent. This result i s discussed on the basis of the anharmonic character of the vibrationa l modes.
