Abstract
This paper presents a novel technique to obtain the solution of load flow i n radially operated distribution networks, in which the loads can be repres ented by any model. This method is simple, easy to program and is based on the formation of a constant sparse upper triangular matrix, which is used t o determine the bus voltages. Test results of IEEE 34 and IEEE 123 bus syst ems are given to illustrate the performance of the proposed method. (C) 200 1 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
