Abstract
We found that by adding Phen to the Eu3+/TTA complexes. the luminescen ce intensity of Eu3+ can be increased very much. The Phen is bounded t o the complexes and can be found not only in the first coordination sp here. It is an efficient shield against the quenching processes and op ens a new IMET channel towards the Eu3+. Concerning the ligands, only the S-1 excited state plays a role in the IMET.
