Giant tumors of the chest: Preoperative embolization and resection

Giant rumors of the chest are rare. These tumors comprise a spectrum of dis ease from benign lesions to highly aggressive malignant tumors with cells o f origin in the pleura, pulmonary parenchyma, blood vessels, thymus, and co nnective tissues. We report four cases of giant tumors of the thorax treate d with preoperative arterial embolization followed by complete surgical res ection. Their diagnostic and treatment courses, imaging, and pathology are described.
