Abstract
The obtention of good quality and crackless Ba2NaNb5O15 (BNN) and K3Li 2-xNb5+xO15+2x (KLN) single-crystal fibers doped with different amount s of Nd2O3 is reported. Structural data for each crystal, low-temperat ure spectroscopy and second harmonic generation (SHG) studies show tha t these single-crystal fibers are potentially self-frequency doubling and sum frequency self-generating laser materials.
