Abstract
The spectra and decay times of the 4.7 and 3.7 eV luminescence bands d ue to the self-trapped excitons in CsI are investigated under hydrosta tic pressure up to 1.2 GPa. Based on the results, we discuss the dynam ical aspects of the self-trapped excitons under the pressure.
