Abstract
The optically detected coherent transient response of a single chromop hore molecule in an organic matrix is analyzed using a model in which N-independent random telegraph processes produce fluctuations of the r esonant spin transition frequency. A wide range of experimental data o btained for single pentacene molecules in p-terphenyl crystal can be e xplained within the context of the model, assuming the fluctuations to be slow.
