Abstract
F-2(+) color center in LIF crystal superstrate deposited on polished fiber through an immersion-liquid overlay was excited with evanescent field of 632.8 nm radiation which was entered to the fiber, giving ris e to the F-2(+) luminescence. Amplification of 920 nm radiation trans ferred from the fiber to the overlay was demonstrated.
