Dn. Kravtsov et al., THE INFLUENCE OF ARYL LIGANDS ON THE CHEMICAL HARDNESS OF TRIARYLITINCATIONS, Journal of organometallic chemistry, 536(1-2), 1997, pp. 385-388
The F-19 NMR investigation of exchange equilibria in the systems Ar3Sn
SC6H4F-4 + Ph3SnCl has shown that the chemical hardness of Ar3Sn+ cati
ons decreases with increase in electron-accepting ability of aryl liga
nds. It has been found that the influence of aryl ligands on the chemi
cal hardness of Ar3Sn+ cations is well described by sigma degrees cons
tants of substituted phenyl groups. The correlation of log K-e with th
e electronegativities of Ar3Sn groups strongly suggests the contributi
on of electronegativity factors. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science S.A.
