In this Note a two-dimensionnl model for time-harmonic eddy currents i
s considered where the magnetic field has only one non-vanishing compo
nent. Using asymptotic techniques, we take into account the case of a
thin inductor. For this, we justify a ''simplified'' model where the b
oundary layer effect is handled. In the ease of one thin conductor ive
show that the limit problem is the well-known Kirchhoff equation for
RL circuirs. A second model is obtained from the former in the case of
''moderately high'' frequencies.
