The dielectric permittivity of the phase Bi3Zn2Sb3O14 was studied by means
of impedance spectroscopy. The measurements were performed in the frequency
range of 5 Hz-13 MHz and at temperatures ranging from 100 degreesC to 500
degreesC. The permittivity was calculated by the variation of the imaginary
part of the impedance (-Im(Z)) as function of 1/omega, where omega represe
nts the angular frequency (2 pif). The parameter epsilon = f(T) exhibits va
lues in the range of 40-48. The dielectric losses (t(g)delta) exhibit sligh
t dependence with the temperature up to 400 degreesC. A strong increase occ
urs at temperatures higher than 400 degreesC. In a general way, a decrease
of the parameter t(g)delta occurs with increasing frequency. (C) 2001 Elsev
