Abstract
Over the past several years, electret charged synthetic filter media h ave been replacing glass filter media for ASHRAE applications. A parti cular concern with these new media is the phenomenon of electret decay under oily aerosol loading. This paper explores this matter and evalu ates several test methodologies.
