Abstract
A conformationally restricted analogue (5) of N-omega-acetyl-N-omega-hydrox yornithine and lysine was synthesized. The synthesis features an efficient acylnitroso hetero-Diels-Alder cycloadduct (1) ring opening with palladium( 0) and methylnitroacetate.
