Abstract
A B-year-old boy had zosteriform vesicular lesions 4 years after immunizati on with varicella vaccine. PCR analyses of DNA extracted from the crusts re vealed herpes simplex virus type 1 infection. Virologic examinations should be performed before the vesicular lesion is attributed to the varicellazos ter virus vaccine strain.
