We use a 3D fully relativistic PIC code to model the interaction of a high-
intensity (>10(17) W/cm(2)) ultra-short (fs) laser pulse with a hydrogen an
d an argon cluster and investigate the time-resolved ion energy spectra, fo
r different laser intensities. Multi-cluster systems are also studied and t
he influence of cluster distribution in ionic energy spectra is shown. Resu
lts indicate that MeV ions are produced through Coulomb explosion of the at
omic clusters.
