J. Genzer, Copolymer-assisted generation of three-dimensional patterns by replicatingtwo-dimensional substrate motifs - art. no. 022601, PHYS REV E, 6302(2), 2001, pp. 2601
We use a three-dimensional self-consistent field model to study copolymer a
dsorption from polymer melts onto chemically heterogeneous substrates. We s
how that in situations where the copolymer sequence distribution is commens
urate with the spatial distribution of the substrate chemical impurities, t
he two-dimensional substrate pattern gets transcribed into three dimensions
and propagates into the polymer mixture. This transference scheme can assi
st in designing nanostructures that find use in various areas of science an
d technology.
