Abstract
The thermal cross-polymerization of diacetylene groups incorporated into si de substituents of polyamide chains at temperatures near the temperature of classification was studied. A specific stepwise kinetics was observed: und er isothermal conditions, the reaction stopped as the limiting degree of co nversion of diacetylene groups was I reached, hilt it began again as the te mperature was increased, attaining a higher degree of conversion. A relaxat ion mechanism of reaction stoppage and reanimation was proposed for the sys tem under study.
