Dc. Dayton et al., PERFORMANCE SIMULATIONS OF A DAYLIGHT LOW-ORDER ADAPTIVE OPTICS SYSTEM WITH SPECKLE POSTPROCESSING FOR OBSERVATION OF LOW-EARTH-ORBIT SATELLITES, Optical engineering, 36(7), 1997, pp. 1910-1917
Computer simulations are used to demonstrate the feasibility of operat
ing a low-order adaptive optics system for observation of bright low-e
arth orbiting satellites during daylight hours. The system considered
includes speckle postprocessing of partially compensated focal plane i
mages to produce reconstructions with resolution near the diffraction
limit of the telescope. (C) 1997 Society of Photo-Optical Instrumentat
