Qk. Zhuang et F. Scholz, In-situ electrochemical synthesis of the metalloporphyrins with the help of the voltammetry of immobilized microparticles, CHEM J CH U, 22(2), 2001, pp. 171-174
Upon cyclic electrochemical polarization, traces of 5, 10, 15, 20-tetraphen
yl-21H, 23H-porphyrin(H2TPP), which have been mechanically transferred to t
he surface of a paraffin-impregnated graphite electrode, can incorporate co
pper, iron or cobalt ions from aqueous solution into the porphyrin ring to
form CuTPP, FeTPPCl and CoTPPCl, The binding of metal ions by H2TPP can be
studied by voltammetry of immobilized microparticles. The mechanism of form
ation and reaction of the metalloporphyrins and their electrocatalytic prop
erties were elucidated.
