Abstract
BACKGROUND. Bilateral squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) of the external ears is a rare phenomenon, and we are unaware of instances of bilateral perineural involvement. OBJECTIVE. To describe bilateral auricular SCCs, each with perineural invas ion. METHODS. Case report and literature review. RESULTS. Histopathologic examination revealed perineural invasion in both t umors. CONCLUSION. This appears to be an unusual presentation of bilateral auricul ar SCCs with perineural invasion in an elderly immunocompromised patient.
