Abstract
A binuclear Zn-II complex with an oxa-aza macrocyclic ligand can bind two d eprotonated thymine or uracil moieties, giving versatile building blocks fo r the assembly of supramolecolar structures, by hydrogen bond pairing of th e nucleobases.
