Abstract
Further investigation of the marine sponge Axinella tenuidigitata for biolo gical active constituents has led to the isolation of the new bromopyrrole alkaloid 3-debromo methyl ester analogue of hanishin 1. The structure of 1 has been characterized based on spectroscopic methods.
