The impact of knowledge sharing, organizational capability and partnershipquality on IS outsourcing success

In recent studies, there has been much interest in knowledge sharing betwee n the service receiver and provider through an outsourcing partnership and its effect on Information Systems (PS) outsourcing success. This study exam ines the relationship between knowledge sharing and outsourcing success. Th e effect of the ability of the service receiver to absorb the needed knowle dge and of companies to build a partnership on these relationships are mode lled and hypotheses defined. These were tested using a sample of 195 public sector organizations in Korea. Findings indicate that all hypothesized pat hs in the model are significant. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science B.V.
