Electronic Services at APL range from an array of engineering, circuit, and packaging design capabilities, through hardware fabrication and assembly, to final inspection and test of a completed product. These products range f rom the very small to the very large, from space to submarine applications, and everything in between. The Laboratory's in-house Electronic Services a re primarily provided by the Engineering, Design, and Fabrication activity (EDF) within the Technical Services Department, The bulk of EDF's electroni c design and development activities resides within the Electronic Services Group. This article highlights technologies and trends in electronic servic es and capabilities necessary to meet APL customer requirements, both today and in the future.
