Model of the interface for managing verbally represented source data in expert systems

A model of the interface for source-data management in expert systems is co nsider-ed. This model is aimed at the source-data management in dialog mode when solving applied problems. The model can he used to develop the interf ace of expert systems for application domains whose set of concepts charact erizing the source data has a hierarchy and a large number of concepts (it could reach thousands and even lens of thousands of concepts). The source t ints of the problems ale verbally represented, and soul ce data call be inp ut before the beginning of inference. The design of the interface based on this model is easy to implement, and it is easily modifiable both at the de sign-and-development phase and at the phase of operation of an ex pelt syst em. In addition, the principle ol designing the interface independently of the kernel of the expert system is adopted.
