Run length and total run length probabilities are examined for mixed sea st
ares, resulting from the combination of a remotely generated wave field and
a locally generated wave system, based on numerically simulated wave recor
ds. Two peaked sere states are classified in nine representative groups, in
terms of two dimensionless parameters. Results are compared with those cor
responding to a mean JONSWAP target spectrum and those predicted by the Kim
ura's model.
