The performance of 1,6-bis(N,N'-dibenzylthiocarbamoyldithio)-hexane has bee
n investigated as a bifunctional crosslinker for truck the compounds in com
parison with conventional and semi-efficient vulcanizing systems. The diffe
rent technological profiles of the vulcanizates obtained are discussed in t
erms of static and dynamic properties before and after aging, It was found
that vulcanizates with 1,6-bis(N,N'-dibenzylthiocarbamoyldithio)-hexane as
the crosslinker have excellent reversion and heat stability with no deterio
ration in the dynamic properties.
