Abstract
Granulomatous meningoencephalitis with participation of the visual system i s described in two dogs. Sudden blindness was the primary complaint. The pr esumptive diagnosis was based on the results of the ophthalmologic and neur ologic examinations as well as magnetic resonance imaging. The final diagno sis was made by the histologic examination. In one case disseminated lesion s predominated in the optical radiation, in the other case an optic neuriti s was also present.
