Abstract
[Na(Hpz(p-Tol)Bp](2) (Hpz = pyrazole, (p-Tol)Bp = B(p-tol)(2)(pz)(2); p-tol = p-tolyl, pz = pyrazolyl) 1 is formed in a side reaction during the synth esis of Na(p-Tol)Tp from (p-tol)(2)B(OH), Napz and Hpz. A crystal structure determination of 1 was carried out. 1 is the first example of a structural ly characterised sodium salt of a bis(pyrazolyl)borato ligand.
