Abstract
A traveling waves analysis for a polyatomic gas with n internal energy stor age modes is performed. In both the frozen flow and the equilibrium limit t he existence and qualitative behavior of traveling waves are investigated. Methods from geometric singular perturbation theory are used to study these limits.
