Comprehensive analysis of multiband coaxial waveguide horns

An analysis method of multiband coaxial waveguide horns has been developed. The method is based on a combination of the mode-matching (MM) method and an integral-equation (IE) method. MM is used to analyze the multiport inter nal region, where several concentric coaxial/circular waveguides are presen t for the different bandwidths. The IE is used for the external region, all owing an accurate analysis of the effect of the external feed shape. A comp arison of the results obtained with some experimental data confirmed the ac curacy of the method developed. (C) 2001 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
