Abstract
Neural development seems normal in mice lacking single TGF-betas, but hlock ing function of all TGF-betas is now shown to rescue neurons from programme d apoptosis, suggesting that TGF-betas might determine the timing of vulner ability to trophic factor deprivation in development.
