Abstract
Lifetimes of excited states in Ru-100 determined from Doppler-shift attenua tion measurements following the Ru-100(n,n'gamma) reaction. Absolute transi tion rates or limits thereon were extracted for states in the three-phonon region and were compared with an interacting boson model description of thi s nucleus. Intruder states were identified, and a candidate for the 2(+) mi xed-symmetry state is suggested. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
