G. Lanzano et al., Light charged particle and neutron velocity spectra in coincidence with projectile fragments in the reaction Ar-40(44 A MeV)+Al-27, NUCL PHYS A, 683, 2001, pp. 566-593
We present a three source analysis of velocity spectra of light charged par
ticles (LCP) and neutrons emitted in the reaction Ar-40 + Al-27 at 44 A MeV
. The light particle (LP) velocity spectra are studied as a function of the
detection angle (1.5 degrees < <theta> < 1'72<degrees>) and of the charge
of the forward detected projectile-like fragment (PLF). The temperature par
ameter, the velocity and the intensity of each source are extracted as a fu
nction of the PLF charge. While the temperature parameters for PLF and targ
et-like fragments (TLF) are very similar and show a dependence on the PLF c
harge, the temperature parameter for the intermediate source is approximate
ly 15 MeV, independent of the PLF charge. Comparison with temperature value
s extracted from double isotopic ratios, shows an agreement only between th
e temperature values extracted from formula involving He-3, H-4, d, t ratio
s and the PLF proton temperature parameter. The characteristics of the PLF
sources are derived. Present results are discussed with regards to the degr
ee of thermalization which could be achieved in the PLF and TLF sources. (C
