The data on low spin states in the odd-odd nuclei V-46 and Cu-58 investigat
ed with the Ti-46 (p,n gamma)V-46, S-32(O-16,pn)V-46 and Ni-58(p,n gamma)Cu
-58 reactions at the FN-TANDEM accelerator in Cologne are reported. The sta
tes containing large quasideuteron components are identified from the stron
g isovector M1 transitions; from shell model calculations and from experime
ntal data for low-lying states.
