First observation of excited structures in neutron deficient, odd-mass Pt,Au and Hg nuclei

Abstract
Excited structures in neutron-deficient Pt, Au and Hg isotopes have been in vestigated for the first time using the Gammasphere spectrometer in conjunc tion with the recoil-decay tagging technique. Illustrative examples are pre sented and discussed in the context of shape coexistence in the vicinity of the proton-drip line.
