Abstract
The use of a prism pair is proposed for dispersion compensation in a two-pa ss second harmonic generation scheme. The calculations in the low conversio n efficiency limit show that the second harmonic intensity can be increased four times as compared to the one-pass method, besides retaining the doubl ing bandwidth of the nonlinear crystal.
