Abstract
The influence of Coulomb interaction on transport properties of spinless el ectrons in small disordered two-dimensional systems is: studied within a ti ght-binding model. Spatial correlations, inverse participation ratio, and m ultifractal spectrum of the zero-temperature local tunneling amplitude as w ell as the dc Kubo conductance are traced as function of the interaction st rength U. When U is increased, all of the above quantities are shifted rath er smoothly towards localized behavior, indicating the absence of an intera ction-driven insulator-metal transition.
