Abstract
The structures of the major anthocyanin and two flavonols from the blue flo wers of Meconopsis were identified by NMR spectroscopy as being cyanidin 3- O-[(6-O-maronyl-2-O-beta -D-xylopyranosyl)-beta -D-glucopyranoside]-7-O-bet a -D-glucopyranoside, kaempferol 3-O-(6-O-beta -D-glucopyranosyl)-beta -D-g lucopyranoside and kaempferol 3-O-(6-O-beta -D-glucopyranosyl)-beta -D-gala ctopyranoside respectively.
